What is chiropractic?
The basic premise of chiropractic is that there is an innate intelligence or life force that animates, inspires, motivates and coordinates all living things. Each of us carries within us her/his own innate intelligence. It flows through your spinal nerve system to every cell of every tissue and organ in your body. It nourishes your cells, carries information between brain and tissues, and keeps the process of your body in healthy relationship and general balance. Your body knows how to accomplish this without your having to be aware of it.
If there is any interference in this system, full expression of life energy may be interrupted. As a result, your body or mind may not be able to perform properly, and the naturally healthy connections between mind, body and spirit maybe impaired. In chiropractic, this interference in the spinal nerve system is called a Subluxation.
Subluxations can result from times when your system may have been stressed beyond its capacity to cope with physical, mental, emotional or chemical stress, insult or trauma. Receiving spinal adjustments helps us to release the tension that has been stored in the spine (sometimes for years) as Subluxations.
It is the concern of Doctors of Chiropractic, that your spinal nerve system be as clear of interference as possible so that your life force can be fully expressed. As a Doctor of Chiropractic I am dedicated and committed to freeing your spine of subluxations in order to release the impeded life force, and allow you to function at your maximum potential, 100% of the time.
What can chiropractic do for me?
Help you achieve and maintain good health naturally.
What is chiropractic based upon?
- The nervous system controls all body functions
- The boney spine, although designed to protect the delicate nervous tissue within, can become displaced and put abnormal pressure on the nerves. This interferes with nerve communication throughout the body. The displaced vertebra is called a SUBLUXATION.
How does chiropractic work?
Gentle, controlled and directed pressure, known as chiropractic adjustment, returns the spinal vertebrae to their proper position. By maintaining a healthy spine, a chiropractor enhances the body’s own inborn healing ability, without drugs or surgery.
Experience shows that adjusting the subluxation (Putting the bones back in place) can relieve nerve interference and allow the body to function normally, maintaining health.
Can chiropractic help others in my family?
People of all ages, from newborns to seniors, benefit from chiropractic care. Everyday childhood activities – contact sports or routine falls – can result in a misalignment of spinal bones, and early care can prevent future problems.
As for the senior set, many of our older patients have stated that adjustments make a tremendous difference in how they move and feel.
